Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor for WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police to DUI instances in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media.
